to preventing nuclear arms in Ukraine, which mean the capital and the government,

back to only the de-nazification, after the failure of the blitz,

and to fulfilling the Ukrainian policy of ridding itself of the communist influence, which from Russian perspective is going back to the borders of the 1920's.

So, Russians won't stop until Ukraine becomes a landlocked country. This will go on for a decade. The second war in Chechnya, for reference, lasted close to a decade.

Obviously, a very succinct apt reply. Biden certainly doesn't think this will end anytime soon. Ukraine will need heavier weapons than what they have now. Putin unfortunately isn't going to reliquish his throne. I don't know the talk of a coup was real or not, but that moment has passed. He just commited Russia to taking Odessa and the surrounding region, which is heavily fortified. Russian military meekly went along.

The new plan. The last bit is interesting, joining up with Moldova to link Transnistria with Russia. It like the UK deciding to invade France because a few roast beefs have some holiday homes there and the French hate us and cracking on through Spain to link Gibraltar up to the UK because they want to be British - and have monkeys which are cute. As plans go, it’s ambitious.
