Russian invasion of Ukraine

But will Trump see it like that?

He's just as likely to accept Russia stopping going forward in return for US lifting sanctions/bank accounts, and dictating that the rest of the stuff is someone else's problem.
I don’t expect he’ll see it like that, no (although no one can predict what he’s actually thinking with any real certainty) but my point is that doesn’t have to be the fait accompli it’s being widely reported as.

This is a hugely simplistic perspective, like they are haggling over a car. What happens to the sanctions? What happens to the frozen assets? What if Europe doesn’t want to play ball with any or all of that?

Militarily, the US absolutely has more leverage, but this isn’t just about that.
Exactly, trump can talk with whoever he wants, but he's not the leader of Ukraine, and never will be.

You need to assess the situation better. We have heard all this nonsense from Putin before remember?

Only thing i will be trying to assess is where my nearest nuclear bunker is, but I don't get why Biden has suddenly sanctioned this now when he's had months, it all seems a bit weird, but Putin will one day follow through his threat through, and them who think he won't will also be looking for a bunker themselves.

Trump like him or loathe him will be on the blower trying to calm down a situation that the old fucking clown has allowed to happen, worrying times yet again
