Russian invasion of Ukraine

I didn't believe that hype btw. Was just people getting carried away.

War is different than opinion polls. The harsh reality is that Ukraine hasn't achieved the territorial gains they needed.
Assuming there’s a deal along the lines you envision (Ukraine ceding territory and security guarantees) what do you see happening with the sanctions and frozen assets as part of that?

Someone said earlier though that some bits come from USA hence we hadn’t given permission to use into Russia until the yanks approved it?
I think approval for use of our weapons played partly into Biden's thinking. Trump revoking permission to use them is a much tougher step than not allowing use in the first place would have been.

Either way, I think questions are now being asked about dependence on the US military industrial complex and I think their chances in future procurements will be much reduced.

Will Trump damage alliances and one of the major drivers of the US economy even further by revoking that permission? I doubt it, but Trump is pretty unpredictable.

I would imagine it's up for discussion.

Russia wants some of the money back but would probably be willing to give some of it up. Could be used for reparations but not neccesarily called reparations.

They would need most of the sanctions lifting too, but might accept the military focused sanctions have to stay.
