Ryotaro Meshino

Two things to be learnt from Yokohama they were pretty poor technically and they ran all day, not saying that this lad can do that and with Peps training improve on the technical area but the last time utd played a Japanese team the manager asked the club if they could play them every year because of the energy of the team, the strength of the Japanese league is the hard work they put in

I always find japan entertaining to watch every World Cup. They run around at 100mph all game.

If Yokohama had a decent striker, it would have been a very different game. They were more than a bit decent imo.

Appears to have been given a green light for a work permit by the SFA panel under the ‘exceptional talent’ condition. Read on the Hearts forum that if applied for from Japan, it will last 5 years and 4 months, which is presumably why he has traveled back there to make his application, much in the way Douglas Luiz went back to Brazil before moving to Villa. Presumably, these permits, once granted by the Home Office, move with the player, which means the player is free to come to us or go elsewhere in the UK at some point down the line
