Salford City (H) | Post Match Thread

It may be odd but we are not being singled out, it happens in match after match in the cups.
Not seen all yesterday's results yet but wouldn't be surprised if the Dippers scored a 4th in the 98th minute :-)

I was actually joking and just checked on BBC sport.

Dippers did score a 4th, minute recorded as 90!

Did anyone watch it, what actual minute it, cheers

It's just odd.

The Laws of the game are meant to be simple and apply across all these games but in reality, the referee can do whatever he wants.

We see it every week in the League, Dips and Arse benefit from extra time when they need it.

A goal in stoppage time for a player needing one or a young lad can do wonders for confidence.

Injuries are part of the game, we have benefitted from other teams missing players and vice versa.

I refuse to accept the referee had 45 minutes played on his stop watch and that is wrong.

During the game Danny Murphy said that teams at a lower level against better teams should be allowed more leeway. Or words to that effect.
Rules are rules and lower level teams haven't the right to play to different rules than the pl side lol.

And it was f'kin' annoying when they got a corner or free kick near the end of the match and the BBC commentator said words to the effect of "...wouldn't it be great if Salford could bang one in now!"
Not "..some would like to see Salford get a consolation goal here.." or something less obviously aggressively biased.
Or, maybe it's just me?

I think it might be just you, I think the majority of neutrals would have thought it was great if Salford got a consolation goal. I wouldn't have minded for the players to get one IF they had different owners.

Just watched MOTD. I've only just noticed City wore the FA Cup sleeve badge. They normally don't bother with it.
No Emirates sponsor on it for a change.

We needed that big win. It was like watching the City we've been used to over the years and as it was over the mini rags it made it even sweeter.

Don't think I've ever seen the DoF sat next to the manager on the bench before. Very undermining for the manager and what was with his jacket ?.
He seemed a decent bloke but I'm sure how many manager would feel happy about the DoF on the bench.

Noticed they made Robinson wear a coat with a little red 92 emblazoned. For fucks sake. Imagine being a Salford blue who used to follow these before they were bought and turned into Aldi rags to provide member berries for the red scum.

A resounding, ''would it fuck'' rang out from stoner towers...
