well, we need to either be firmer in pulling them out if they aren't at peak fitness, or putting incentives in the contract to stop them going if not fully fit. Same with Kev to be honest, our squad is being butchered by pointless international games. Tournament finals, fine, but players at our club aren't getting left out by missing Latvia away for the women or Andorra for England.

Women are much more prone to lower leg injuries because the increased width of their hips affects the angles of their knee and ankle joints. Some studies have shown them to be 8 (eight!) times more likely to tear ACLs. Surgery is also much less well studied on female athletes (apparently those physiological differences do have an impact on the surgery) and all specialists are tailored towards the mens game because that's where the money is. Apparently that means surgeries are less successful and rehab is more difficult as well.

Our women's team isn't that much worse than the rest, I think we're just having a classic perpetuating circle of one or two injuries -> less rotation -> more injuries -> less rotation -> more injuries.

At youth level these kids are growing which always fucks with their mechanics and makes them susceptible to injury. I don't think we're getting more than anyone else or previous years, we're just noticing them more because the players (Edozie, Delap in particular) are closer to the first team.

Really bad run of injuries in the EDS. Delap, Edozie, Burns, Egan-Riley, Sodje have all missed games already. Borges and Braaf haven’t been seen at all.

seems like there's a bit of an academy clearout going on this summer, whats that Braaf, Egan Riley, Bazunu and now Edozie gone on permanents already. Plus Darko on his way to Leeds. Not to mention the loans.
