Just died during week, took to the 3 store, tried different battery and charger still nothing

Rang 3 and tried reset but still no good.

Phone in my name but it's my ex's and after smashing screen she got some idiot to change the glass, phone worked for 3/4 weeks after that but doubt Samsung or 3 will look at it due to change. It is insured and think glass change will invalidate insurance as well.

I told her when glass was smashed I will get it sorted under warranty or insurance but she says no no its ok.

Just wondering if anyone had any ideas

You can restore the OS to factory default?

It's physical damage, restoring the software will make no difference whatsoever even presuming he can if the batteries getting low.

The only option for you that I can see is to try disassembling it and putting it back together again making sure that any ribbon cables are secure. Otherwise I think it's goosed.

If he tried a reset he might just have some power in it.

Either way he's got a couple of options...def go with the ribbon option first if it appears to be completely dead.
Sorry, I've just realised I thought you were talking about flashing the OS. Doh...

Thanks lads, no power at all tried the reset via up volume+home+power but didn't work

Thanks mate, said they will repair this but she smashed screen a while back and got some idiot to buy glass from Ebay and change it so don't think Samsung will touch it to be honest. This will probably also invalidate the warranty unfortunately

As suspected Samsung say phone is out of warranty and want £170 to repair

Quad core phones with dual sims can be bought from ebay for as little as 80 bricks, they are unlocked and have gorilla glass etc.

Cheers mate, she got a crap phone for £50 from 3 store and to see if insurance will fix it. Out of my hands now as it's her own fault

Bought a big flash flat screen TV a Samsung, died on me a month after the warranty ran out, a typical Samsung trick, DON'T buy Samsung crap...
