The vigil for Sarah on Clapham Common was a peaceful recognition of her life and murder, a peaceful protest against police violence, and a small effort to raise awareness of institutional and societal violence against women.
It was broken up by police who falsely and violently arrested nine women under the guise of "COVID restrictions".
And now we find out that Wayne Couzens himself also falsely and violently arrested a woman in Clapham under the guise of "COVID restrictions" -- the result of that "arrest" is what we're reading about in the news today.
So that's yet another example of institutional failure and institutional violence, and yet another layer of sickening and evil irony to this awful, awful tragedy.
