Sardines

Seafood is my favourite kind of food.

Good old fashioned tinned fish like mackerel sardines and anchovies are a regular for me.

One simple meal that I really like is pan fried hake/cod/sea bass with rocket and tartar sauce on brioche buns... proper!

Pickled Herring is the way to go. Mackerel is ok too.Buy the tinned stuff without tomato sauce shite.

Just got,a load of tins in spring water rather than brine - the devil's work, tastes of nothing.

Grilled sardines should only be eaten at a waterfront restaurant or taverna overlooking the med.

tinned sardines are food of the devil.

If you can get them fresh, bake them in the oven, covered with tin foil, for about 10 minutes with loads of garlic, olive oil, parsley, lemon and seasoning. Do loads as they are also great cold. Good shout for pickled herrings....

Wifey loves sardines

I've just bought a tin of mackerel fillets from Lidl - in tomato sauce! Delicious on a slice of homemade sourdough!
