SAS Who dares wins

I’m even surprised they agreed to having women on the show and maybe that was the disagreement that’s come to a head, next why not disabled etc, well because you idiots that’s not what the SAS is about.
The paralympian Lauren Steadman has already been on the celebrity version

Absolutely agree with this and many find themselves homeless with no help, I personally can’t stand Middleton, he comes across as a smart twat, the others on the programme seem more down to earth. He plays up to the cameras and has a made a living off it, but the producers are idiots if they didn’t think this would happen. An ex SAS soldier who was involved in the Iranian embassy siege, Rusty Firmin, doesn't think highly of Middleton at all. I would guess there will be a lot of split opinions in the regiment, particularly between the old hands and the newer breed who court publicity more. That and a bit of jealousy, although Rusty himself has written a book.

Yep I watched it and let’s be honest she wouldn’t have lasted a week doing the proper stuff, it’s purely for TV.
Wait, really? I thought we were training up a bunch of z list celebs to be in the real SAS, to find out it was just for TV is very disappointing. In hindsight, it was strange that they were releasing the film so foreign countries could see who our new recruits were, then again, like most of us I imagine they'd struggle to recognise any of the "celebs" anyway

Next they will telling us that contestants of Splash and The Jump weren't training for the Olympics.

Wasn’t Middleton SBS anyway?

It is indeed a TV show.
Jason Fox (he’s done a few decent docs on Mexican drug cartels) comes across well as does Ollie.

All three were SBS, but as they go through the same selection process it doesn't really matter for the sake of the program. They're have been special forces programs on other channels that pre-date the CH4 version, not watched any of "SAS"but apart from people who had fame already from writing books, there wasn't anybody using one of those TV show as a springboard for their own broadcasting careers.

I've just watched Ant Middleton go off on some sad case on (the regular version of the show) who lied about being in the Paras. I'm pretty sure they select odd and abrasive personalites like these in the same way that the apprentice does. Bit rich for him to start saying it's a reality show, when that's all it's ever been. Full of scripted or exaggerated scenes outside of the obstacle courses and training.

Judging from his performance in that clip, he might make a good pirate in Panto.
