So, the plan is that when the players are coming onto the pitch for the derby on Saturday, we create a scene like that from Argentinian Football with the ticker tape, streamers, bog roll etc. The person who organised this deserves a medal should it be pulled off. Everything is in place more or less but we need to make sure of 1 thing more than anything, TIMING!!! If you read this and have kids, please do not let them throw anything until the correct time, which is when the players emerge from the tunnel. If it is done correctly, and im sure it will, it will be remembered for years to come, and will make big news in my opinion, so remember, dont throw anything until the players are coming out of the tunnel. here is a little clip from a famous movie, look at the result when you wait and time something to perfection

This match will not kick off on time, stewards will be clearing the pitch for about 10 minutes after players enter the field of play...will be fun from the Bluemooners this will

We do this sort of thing all the time in international and big club games from the standing sections here. It does look amazing and feels really cool to be part of. Would be awesome if it could be pulled off for the entire stadium. Will always be a couple who throw stuff before it's time but it doesn't take anything away from the effect.

-- Wed Apr 14, 2010 10:03 am --

Slightly off topic but I just remember this as a great day. The framing really set the mood for the entire game and us fans were on top. Sadly the game ended 0-0...we had all the chances, Ibrahimovic kept feeding Elmander with great balls...but I guess there's a reason why he's not even starting for Bolton.

Something like this for an entire stadium would look MENTAL. Coms is much bigger than Sweden's national ground anyway (we're working on that...).

This:) Yes the plan is just as the players start to come out of the tunnel that is the time, I have posted on my main thread the fact if you hsave little ones with you please ensure they don't start throwing earlier.
The club will have something in place to inform the fans when to do it. Like I have said the main focus I have arranged with the club is the ES but there are 100's of people now around the ground involved in bringing stuff.

But like the post highlights, once it starts at 12:40/1 it should all just happen.

Just a niggling bit of an afterthought - if those silly buggers in the away end, the yeller and green urine machine, carry on like they did at the CC at CoMS, and all that paper, just tell me I'm not going to find meself around 12.50 in a raging inferno. If so, I'll go and get one of those F1 driving suits. I've waited a long time for a Champions League place and wouldn't want first degree burns and two seasons convalescence to get in the way of MCFC v Barcelona, Bayern, Milan, Real, Torino, LA Galaxy &c.
