Really enjoyed that tonight. As an original Spike Island veteran, I would like to say it brought back fond memories - but the truth is that I can’t remember very ’ much apart from kipping the night on Runcorn station afterwards.
Who was the geezer djing in his garden? An eclectic set, not dissimilar to one of my own - throwing in the Stooges and Bowie, Nirvana and Song 2 along with 80’s dance crap
Clint Boon did Manchester by numbers and probably won the night by playing the most recognisable songs from the A-Z of Manchester bands. You could play his set at any Manchester New Year party and it would go down a treat. Kudos to him for playing the Chameleons too - loved it.
Top night in lockdown - I might even donate a fiver ;-)
