I think he means back to the Pele, Bobby Moore, Rodney Marsh, George Best days with teams like the New York Cosmos, San Antonio Thunder, Tampa Bay Rowdies and LA Aztecs.
Brought in ex-stars to get the publicity but nowt behind them.

Current MLS is built from the bottom up with a handful of international players and plenty of locals.
Still around League 1 level at best.

The Chinese threw a lot of lolly at their league and after a few years they accepted that it would struggle to top the established leagues.
It's not enough for Saudis to watch it, it must be attractive to the foriegn viewers.
I just don't think it will be.

The Saudi Pro League has been going for nearly 50 years, so I'd be surprised if they haven't come up with a way to play football in the heat.

I imagine kick offs are about 9pm.
