Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

On Thursday night on the Phil Williams show on R5 live they played some messages from their teamtalk answering machine in support of wee Davey.
It's fantastic to get support for our campaign from these professionals associated with the game. They have been there and done it. They know what they are talking about. contributions are from:

Mickey Thomas
David Humble of the MUEN
Eric Steele, Ex goalkeeping coach
2 so called supporters

There is further excellent analysis from Dan Walker and Conor McNamara.

After some searching through the podcasts, I couldn't remember when it was on, and after quite a bit of effort I managed to find it. Get your ears round this.....

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03vzq7s" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03vzq7s</a>
Listen from 01:16:18 to 01:24:10
The podcast is only available for 5 more days, until 5th March

Great support for our campaign from the BBC, keep up the good work Phil! #SOD

Over in Raggy World the poll is 80 % to get the boot. It ain't looking too good and they reckon a dry bumming by WBA Liverpool and Ourselves might be enough for them to re joice never read such gloomy posts on there. They have lost the will to watch football, just waiting for them to start handing in their sky subscriptions. :-)

The sooner they realise that 'support' and 'losing' go hand in hand they might get through this..

Nahhh..whats the point in hunting when theres no glory...

Having just read that and it making no sense whatsoever I'm obviously still fucking wasted from last night and I'm going back to bed

I've just got in from work - didn't have any alcohol to drink last night - and it makes no sense to me either.

The fans are so short-sighted. Wee Davey is actually overachieving and has a better win percentage than with Everton. They would be mad not to give it at least another 5 years with the GPC's prodigy.

Mate, you'd be the perfect PR spokesman for Wee Davey, your talents are wasted on here........ #SOD

Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

So City win some silverware, obviously not as prestigious as the Community Shield. Only the Premier League winners or FA cup winners can win the Shield, so Pellegrini is still way behind wee Davey. You just watch them come back in the home leg against the Greeks. Save Our Dave!

Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

What are we doing, winning the cup won't help Davey, sorry Davey we did'nt realise, please forgive us

Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

The gpc has given a much needed boost to SOD. Although what the free loading pissed up old **** is doing at the Oscars I don't know.

From The Mirror.

The United legend is in Los Angeles preparing for the Oscars but was fielding questions about the Red Devils at the home of British Consul-General Chris O'Connor

Sir Alex Ferguson has backed David Moyes to come through his nightmare first season as Manchester United boss.

Moyes is under mounting pressure, with United facing a rare season of failure under their new boss following Ferguson's retirement last summer.

United are currently seventh in the table, 11 points off fourth spot and almost certain to miss out on the Champions League for the first time in 19 years.

They are also out of the FA Cup, failed to make the Capital One Cup and are facing elimination from the Champions League to lowly Olympiakos.

United, who won their 20th title by 11 points under Ferguson last season, have insisted that Moyes still has the full backing of the Old Trafford board.

But large sections of United fans have turned against Moyes and the 50-year-old Scot faces a battle to prove he is the right man to lead the club long-term.

And Ferguson, who hand-picked former Everton boss Moyes as his successor when he stepped down last year, claimed he will turn things around.

"They [United] will be all right," said Ferguson, speaking in Los Angeles where he attended last night's Oscars ceremony.

"It's early days and there have been a lot of changes.

"He [Moyes] needs time. I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager, it takes time. But they'll be okay."

United, on course for their lowest league finish since 1990, face West Brom away next Saturday before a run of three home games in nine days - against Liverpool, Olympiakos and Manchester City - that could determine his future.

Well said you drunken old sot

A fantastic week for Davie. He managed to avoid defeat. That's over a month without a league defeat. Well done Moysey.

Can I vote for him the Manager of the Month awards? Must be nailed on after that?

Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

City gave our campaign a tremendous boost yesterday.

By winning the League Cup, it opens up another league place for the Europa League, meaning it will make it much easier to qualify.

Now all we need is for City, Arsenal or Everton to win the FA Cup and that will open up yet another league place.

Actually the FA Cup final will have to be between City and Arsenal/Everton to open up 7th place for Thursday nights next season.

...........Such a final would be the FiNAL PROOF that the FA Cup draws have for many years been rigged against United ''s interests #SOD

Re: Save Our Dave Campaign: SOD

When they take down the 'Chosen One' banner at the swamp are we putting in a bid for it?

"Manchester Thanks You Sheikh Mansour, But Not As Much As It Thanks Golum"?

Oh, yes. Of course.

Thanks for that, Lancs.
