Feel sorry for the bloke. Looks so much different to when he took over. The plane banner over the stadium was beyond pathetic, and the abuse he's getting is not on. Yes he's getting paid a fortune - but where is the line drawn as to how much stick a man can take ... Till he takes he's own life ? Maybe being over sensitive to all this but just feel supporters especially in football do not realise the mental damage abuse can do to a person.

Nah, nobody forces them to take the job, they get paid handsomely and are not forced into it so i do not feel sorry for him.
If you say events and people conspired against him then i would say he is not resilient enough.

I see where you are coming from but no, he is a grown man who made an informed decision, you can't feel sorry for anyone who then gets a hard time.
You dance with the devil, you wait for the music to stop as they say.

Whilst I don't feel sorry for him as such I have to admit that I can't look at him anymore. The strain on his face has aged him considerably.

Many millionaires suffer from depression, anxiety and have taken there life. You can visibly see the stress caused by he's appearance in just under a year. City fans have every right to take the piss out of anything rag related - I'm aiming more at the Media, the Man U fans that did stuff like flying the banner and even the grim reaper crap shown at Everton - a club he worked wonders with.

That Martinez has already done a much better job with.

He's a decent manager nothing more, that has been woefully overhyped because he's British and was at a club with an unambitious owner.

Didn't see this until after I posted. I thought the regulators had amended the rules making management inform NYSE first?

I believe your information comes from regular developments does it not? and exceptional developments affecting the structure of an organisation have to me released to NYSE first?
They do have to notify NYSE first, but the notification period is only 10 minutes to give them time to consider a trading halt. Unexpected managerial changes are classified such that they fall within the Immediate Release Policy:

Annual and quarterly earnings, dividend announcements, mergers, acquisitions, tender offers, stock splits, major management changes, and any substantive items of unusual or non-recurrent nature are examples of news items that should be handled on an immediate release basis.

When the announcement of news of a material event or a statement dealing with a rumor which calls for immediate release is made shortly before the opening or during market hours (presently 9:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., New York time) * , the company must notify its Exchange representative by telephone at least ten minutes prior to release of the announcement

Also requiring Immediate Release would be the requirement to dispel unfounded rumours, so it is probably fairly safe to assume that all this has legs:

A listed company should also act promptly to dispel unfounded rumors which result in unusual market activity or price variations.

The quotes are taken from the NYSE Listed Company Manual.

Interesting, cheers. Seems you're right.

I suppose it does make sense that they don't give NYSE too much advance warning. The markets are closed now, right? wonder if we'll see anything this evening then

Moyes has aged 20 years in one season, LVG is 62 as it is, give him one year at the swamp and the fucker will look like this -

Still have faith in big Sam just for stability sake. But if Sam got sacked I think Moyes would be a decent appointment for us.

Moyes isn't just disliked by us because of his time at United though. We paid absolute top dollar for Lescott when Everton were skint
(okay they are always skint) and got years and years of abuse from him about how we'd destroyed their season. He caused a lot
of animosity between the two sets of fans. Then as soon as he got the United job he went back to Everton and made a derisory bid
for their two best players. The guy is a total hypocrite. I appreciate what you say about the mental health issues but I find it very
hard to have any sympathy for him. The Everton fans also feel he is a hypocrite hence the fact that they are celebrating his
demise at United.
