£9m to hire and (according to Sly Sports) £12m to fire. Sure some of his staff will also get paid off and, dependant on next clown maybe more recruitment costs. Nice offset against the Scruffy ones staff cull savings. The circus that never closes. Still keeps them top of the clicks for 6 months I suppose.
Another 200 staff redundancies on the way
To help pay yet another managerial payoff

Interesting shout on Maresca. I’m assuming Willcox and Berrada know him from their City days.
Yes, seems very fishy that Maresca apparently resigned with no compensation. He wasn't sacked. It was a mutual separation. Then Amorim is gone a week later. If Maresca is suddenly appointed then there has been some shenanigans going on with Berrada and Wilcox.

I actually liked him. Too good for them cunts.
He was doomed from the very start. His perseverance with a back 3 has done for him in the end. It's a bit like hiring a prize fighter, and then the fighter says, "I'm only going to fight with my left hand from now on, and I will not change." And then he gets battered every week, while every man and his dog is shouting at him to throw his right.

His compensation halved after the first 12 months, so it's more like 5m. Which is why lots of experts thought he was going to go in November, but then scruffy Jim came out and said he had 3 years. Looks a bit silly now.

I don't buy this conspiracy theory because if Amorim had kept his mouth shut regarding lack of January transfers in, he would still be in post....

I wish I could have a 'disagreement' with my bosses, get released and £5 million for my trouble.... I mean that's a lottery win on a rollover weekend....

Sky Sports doing a vox pop with rags in Manchester this morning (looks like Market St). Proper "hills have eyes" vibes.
I can only shudder at the sort of people who want to hang about on Market Street in minus 5 degrees. The BBC sent a camera crew to Buxton to film the severe conditions at the weekend. There was about a millimetre of snow on the ground.

It's been brewing for a few weeks. The leaked whatapps from Wilcox and the head of recruitment. How did they get into the public domain? The last 2 press conferences have been a disaster. Basically, looks like they didn't want to sign players that only fit into Amorim's system, and he saw his arse about it.

I am guessing, but I think this is maybe what has happened: Semenyo is of interest to United with a 65million buy-out. Semenyo chooses Man City (so proving he is a footballer with intelligence as well as footballing skills). Amorim expects that £65 million to be available for someone else (and looking at their bench recently, he needs somebody ASAP) but the Club then say NO - probably because they have decided his 3 at the back ain't gonna ever work (as you said).

End of the Amorim experiment.

I don't have much sympathy for him, he's going to pocket £5million! Although it is harsh in one respect: he didn't actually want to join United when he did - he was hoping for a Summer start and a pre-season. But the club said, it is Now or Never and then this happens. Perhaps had he been allowed to join when he wanted, he might have been a success and stayed longer.....

So another £10 million plus cost for sacking another manager.
Rinse and repeat.
It's great being a Blue.
not in my lifetime must be the best ever qoute from a premier league manager.
It’s cost them circa £80mil in severance pay since the pisscan just to try and keep up with us…and they’re still as far behind as they’ve ever been.
Never forget Blues, these cunts deserve everything that’s coming to them and more!
