Going by that; if it's only going into production next Spring it's probably a year away from the screens, maybe more.

Blonde, Lesley Sharp used to be in a cracking series Afterlife, with Andrew Lincoln (Walking Dead) in which she was a (very) reluctant psychic who was haunted by troubled spirits. Lincoln played a college lecturer/psychologist....

Not exactly, it was Suranne Jones and Sally Lindsay's idea & concept (Shelley Unwin-corrie). They took it to a female TV producer who liked the idea and got writers in.

I remember ITV trailing some series she was in a few years as the filthiest thing seen on TV and it turned out to be a right pile of shite.
