6 million is a fair price if AJ was worth only 10.As someone else rightly said though you don't sell our only winger without the replacement a dead cert to sign.

No idea what is going on but it all adds weight to Mancini's words and i see Marwood as deadwood soon unless we get in some significant signings in the next 3 days!

Why do you assume people are flapping just because they are troubled by the way the window has been handled? I'm not flapping, I'm fairly confident that when push comes to shove, the owners will sort the shit out that Marwood has created in this window by throwing money at it in the last day or two. But that will not disguise the fact that imo Marwood has left us needlessly exposed at this moment and that the whole thing will turn out to have been a false economy by the end of the window when we end up paying over the odds for targets that were not anywhere near the top of our wanted list at the start of the summer.

You assume our priority has been a centre back, and if you are right about that, it doesn't mean that our failure to sign a centre back is down to Marwood. There are a lot more factors at play that you or I can't possible guess what is going on

3 days left on the window and as mucha s I hate to say this, Swansea is playing this right. Turn down the offer now knowing in 2 days time man City will come back with a better bid. i really doubt City can find a cheaper option than sinclair and Swansea knows this

Ultimately, this transfer window has not gone how anyone expected.

As i said in another thread, I cannot believe this owners would suddenly become super prudent after winning the league by a whisker and exiting at the group stages of the champions league.

Ultimately, someone will be to blame. It might be Marwood, it might not be. But I really don't think the owners would suddenly change their approach from players like Aguero, to Rodwell and Sinclair.

As it happens, I like Rodwell and Sinclair, but I also expected a starter who would instantly improve the team.

Swansea have released the fee so I don't see us getting him for less than £7-8m, the best result on City's part would be either to buy a better player(please) or get him for £6.5m as a compromise.

And given Khaldoon had publicly praised the work Marwood has done does that mean you question his judgement.

The delay could be due to us looking at someone else.

What the Swansea chairman should realise is that we are not a club, like Swansea, that could be run from a front room. As well as chairman, he probably mans the ticket hotline and pulls pints behind the club bar.

They did say a couple of years ago that the spending wouldn't carry on. I think money is still there to spend but we don't need signing as urgently as before.

Still think we'll get a couple of good ones in before Friday anyway.

Quite correct - just giving my opinion. Yours is just as valid as mine whether or not you agree with me. I thought Marwood had assumed responsibility for players in/out since Cook resigned although Khaldoon has the final say. If we are looking to sign strikers and wingers and not cover at CB then those running the club must have more confidence in Kolo and Savic than the vast majority of the fans.

Certainly. But you would think some of the people in charge of the club (including Khaldoon and Marwood) would get some benefit of the doubt considering the couple of years we've just had.

I wonder if any other side having just won the title would have such dissatisfaction with the players and management as we seem to have on here.
