Wasn't this already turned down or did we actually not submit a bid?
cut and paste?

Manchester City crank up the pressure in £6.2m pursuit of Swansea winger Sinclair

Manchester City are awaiting a response from Swansea City after making a formal £6.2million bid for winger Scott Sinclair, who was part of the Great Britain Olympic team.

City believe the offer is reasonable for a player in the last year of his contract, and are confident that Swansea will agree.

Swansea are currently signing Pablo Hernandez, the winger from Valencia. He's supposed to be a replacement for Sinclair. So maybe that's a sign ?

Why are we still making bids on this clown, it a f*ckin joke that Swansea are bleating about what we have offered for someone who will be available on a free in 12 months.

FFS the guy isn't fit to lace AJ boots I cannot believe we are even bothering with this donkey . Time to move on get someone who is good enough not some Chelsea reject. I mean who are we go in for next the one season wonder Henandez anyone.

sad thing is is that hernandez would be a better choice than bloody sinclair! why not just go for him?

What's Pablo Hernandez like? Used to play with Merlin so if he is any good perhaps we should go for him and leave Swansea high and dry with an unhappy player

Oh dear. A typical 'I want a mega money signing' tantrum if ever there was one. Also, Swansea are a business and know we are silly enough to pay over the odds for players at times. They will milk us for everything they can, and from their point of view rightly so. Henry Winter had it bang on yesterday when he said City have a premium all of their own when they go in for a player, Swansea are merely proving that.

Sinclair playing with the players we have, learning, evolving his game around them will prove to be a good signing. I wish the comparisons with Johnson would stop too. Two totally different players and whilst Johnson fucked about too much on the ball, Sinclair will just bomb past opposition players for fun.

This transfer needs sorting. If it falls through we wont have any wide attackers at all in the squad. That would be suicidal for our PL hopes and we could forget about the CL to.

If it does fall through I sincerely hope there is a decent Plan B wide player in place otherwise someone at city deserves a very thorough bumming.

Totally agree.Since the window opened the most pressing position above cb or cm has been the need for a wide man with pace. Is Sinclair the answer who knows but he is certaubly better than no option. To leave it so late is unacceptable.

I think that Scott Sinclair may well make you eat your (extreme and inaccurate) words before the season is over - I hope he does.

Deal agreed according to "SPORTSMAIL REPORTER" whoever the f*ck that is:

That usually means it has no substance at all because a journo won't put their name to the article. Pure guesswork imo

I hate people who talk shit. This post is a great example of someone that talks shit

Whoop de fucking do.

This signing will send shockwaves round europe. Rumenigge and co will be cowering from us at the champions league draw tonight

Can't see why anyone would have a problem with Sinclair coming into the squad.

Not a worldbeater but it takes more than worldbeater to build a squad.

I think he'll do the job he has been bought to do, and he'll do it well.

Mancini seems to think so, and I'll go with his view rather than yours.
