I hope the likes of Rodwell and Sinclair become great for us but I can guarantee inside their first few games they won't perform and won't be like Messi or De Rossi but I can guarantee these people spitting their dummies out will create countless amount of threads about them having a bad game.

They're young and English and have years ahead of themselves to mould into our squad so stop embarrassing our fan base by crying about not signing a "big name" player, honestly get a grip!!

I think you need to get a grip, no one has thrown their toys out the pram asking for a big name player.

Mancini see's some clear deficiencies in even our best line ups that he wanted to address to take on Europe, and we simply haven't done it. Our best is no better than last season bar the usual playing together a little longer angle, and if we thought that was good enough I'm sure we wouldn't have earmarked 30m for Hazard. Only question is whether that money was only available for him or could be used on other players, because we've only spent about circa 30m (?) and you'd have a hard time convincing anyone that we only had 30m to spend this window (and were about to spend it all on one attacking player to boot).

Don't recall any vitriol when we signed AJ, yet he was a similar price and less experienced and most seem unhappy that he has gone.

Whether Sinclair was first or last choice, he is about to become a City player, so I hope in ten years time we're looking back and thinking what a great signing at a bargain price. We'll only know how he fits in and what he brings to the team once he's here, so how about giving him some time. I only hope he hasn't looked in here to see what people think.

I think if we had signed a big star, such as De Rossi for example, then everyone would be happy about the signing. However because we have failed to land a super star all other signings are seen as inferior.

I guarantee that if we now buy a big name you will see several of the follow comments "superstar, Nastasic, Rodwell and Sinclair - happy with that"

Hazard imo was because we are over reliant on Silva & worked him too hard. Just finding another player who can fit that bill is very very difficult & then actually getting him out of his club & signing him is more difficult still.
