As much as VAR was wrong, it was merely compounding a poor decision by the referee. He took too long to reach that decision, which suggested to me that he was perhaps hoping VAR might overturn him. However, it simply doubled down. The problem started with the referee.

Agreed, but ultimately, VAR make the decision.
 
Shocking decision but if that had been in the other end the Celtic fans would be saying they are just wanting to keep Rangers in the title race.

Yep, exactly. There's no conspiracy from my end, was just a shite 'home' decision shall we say.

Not so sure. If the referee had allowed it to stand, I very much doubt VAR would have overturned it. I feel that the system more often works to support those in the system rather than to arrive at the correct decision, which should be the objective.

Only 3 grounds in the UK where that decision is upheld by var, Celtic park , old toilet and klanfield

I'm quibbling here, so VAR make the decision not to overturn it.

However, I'll also strongly agree with your second point.
