What’s on the shopping wish list for the January window for your teams.

We need a winger, a LB a RB and a striker. Won’t get all four, but we need them.
You just broke your transfer record signing a striker

Dunfermline v Falkirk tonight absolutely brilliant. 9000 at the game.

3-3 as I type 91st minute equaliser for the home side.
I watched a lot of that game, It was a cracker. Falkirk had a great following .
I wanted to see how young Kane Richie Hosler was progressing. He was with us as a junior, then signed for rangers I think. His dad did some work for me a while back.

A quality centre back.

Right winger to compete with Cerny

Third choice striker . Hopefully not Shankland but I fear it might be him

Get rid of Dowell, Dessers, Lowry , Devine, Lovelace.

I read you were going to spend £8m. You must be well over the FFP limit. Or at least close to it. I suppose with the ones you want rid, getting them off the wage bill is a start. Can’t see you getting much and that’s including Dessers. Having said that we got good money for our deadwood, so you never know.

Not sure exact figures , I leave that to the Celtic support, but I believe the wage bill is already down £6 million PA and if we get Dessers , Dowell, Matondo and Ben Davies (remember him) away then it should free up significant monies to bring in replacements

I actually don’t think we are that far away from a decent XI but there is a massive drop off from that to our bench and this is where Celtic are miles ahead. Leagues are won by squads not first XIs. It’s why we lack consistency

Kieran Fucking Dowell

Fucking fed up with Scottish refs.

Shat on again.

Just by reading it was this clowns 4th premiership match which he's officiated, 2 of them games involving Killie. Before that, 13 championship games.

Where the fuck is the experience to be deemed capable of officiating these games in front of 20,000 fans? Why are him and his like being fast tracked up to the premiership level when they're clearly not ready for it?

You don't want the English one currently reffing El Sheepshaggico?

He makes Stuart Attwell look good.

The standard is now as poor as it’s ever been.

I take it you’re unhappy with Armstrong second yellow? They have to change the VAR / 2nd Yellow ruling. I’m not sure it would have been overturned but the referee should be allowed to see it again

Kilmarnock games have seen some really poor officiating all season long.

Both yellows tbh were very very soft. But the frustration is probably difficult to understand from any highlights of the specific incidents alone, more so the inconsistencies with far worse challenges going unpunished. I know there's a fair argument Armstrong having been booked (rightly or wrongly) should stay on his feet from there on in but the actions of the Hibs players have completely forced the decision on the referee who was nowhere near strong enough to make his own mind up about what's actually happened and apply a bit of common sense.

He slides in but any contact is minimal and to be honest I'm not even 100% sure who makes the contact with who, but tell you something if those 2 are both judged as solid yellow card offences then games will continue to be ruined left right and centre.

It just all seemed like the referee had no control over the game, was reacting to the complaints of home players and fans and went along with it rather than using any experience to make a judgement- because he simply doesn't have any.

It was a horrible all round refereeing performance. Actually worse than the Motherwell debacle the other week all be it that one had 2 major flashpoints which weren't officiated correctly.

Just left the game yesterday thinking we didn't actually have a proper referee fit for what was in front of him. Very very poor.

I’m pretty sure your referee was Dan MacFarlane. You say he is an inexperienced official and highlight how many matches he’s refereed. He’s actually a well used VAR official and has been on VAR for many Rangers games.

I’ve never noticed him actually officiating on field at any game.

The game here is done until those in power are removed from office. From the very top to the very bottom!! The game needs cleansed but until that happens nothing will ever change!

The two bookings are subjective decisions and I disagree with you over the first booking but at the second booking referee should use common sense. The balls there to be won and Armstrong has to go for it. If he hadn’t been previously booked and he got a yellow then nobody is going to really argue but to send a player off going for a loose ball and making minimal contact is extremely harsh.

There is a Lennon Miller challenge on Cortes in the Motherwell v Rangers game. Over the ball , through Cortes, ankle is buckled at almost a right angle which Collum has consistently said =a Red but only a yellow. There are pictures on FF showing identical Motherwell challenge on Celtic player (it could be any team) and VAR step in for a Red! I honestly believe if Dan Casey dies that to Cortes he walks! I’m sick of saying this .. All we want is consistency!!

Yeah I get the subjective point of view, even for the second card. But my point here was more to do with the consistency. As I say, you'd have to have seen the full match to have a gist of why Killie would feel really hard done by. Those are two bookings both on the harsher side, particularly the second - in comparison to some of the stuff which was let go and is let go on other matches.

There were several poor tackles on Killie players where nothing was given and ones where a free kick was given the player wasn't booked for similar or worse.

Honestly the second one I think he (ref) just let the Hibs players dictate what the punishment would be without thinking for himself. He had to be much stronger there. And being experienced VAR is not the same as being a referee where decisions like that have to be made on the spot.

His full performance was up there with the McDermid shambles at St Mirren or Graham at Motherwell.

It's interesting the SFA seem him good enough for this level yet he's very unlikely to be appointed an old firm match in the near future? If he's good enough for two member clubs surely he's good enough for all. My opinion is he shouldn't be near this level of the game.

Anyway happy new year and that. There goes my last Scottish referee rant of 2024. Might fit one more in if I have a beer later.

He’s on VAR for Thursdays Old Firm.

So why is the old firm game on the TV and has a 15.00 kick off time along with the rest of the games.
It’s not a Saturday so the 3pm rule doesn’t apply. Same way most live midweek games clash.

Anyone running a book on when the first mention/complaint about refereeing/VAR in the old firm game will be posted on the forum? I'm going for somewhere between 5-10 minutes.
