Scottish Independence

I laugh when I read the once in a generation pish.that was one man who said that. One fucking man. No single perswon decides what we do. The SNP stood on a manifesto of another Ref. The Tories had one objective, a vote for them would prevent Indy 2.

They lost 60% of their seats. The SNP won 81% of the seats, gaining 13 more than 2017. We deserve a vote. We voted for it. The SNP had a higher % of the vote than that lying fat bastard and more seats. Yet all I hear is his overwhelming mandate. Well if that lying Toffy nosed Bellend has a mandate, so do we.
All that bluster Magic doesn't hide the fact that the SNPs vote share was no more than the yes referendum vote five years ago.

It's interesting to see so many EU/remain advocates now move into a pro Scottish independence stance.
Why wouldn't those of us living in Scotland at least consider the option if we believe we would be better off staying inside the EU especially as apparently N.Ireland can have a frictionless border with both the EU and the UK we have a model for it? I'm considering, depending on how the next year goes, seems an obvious thing to at least think about.

More people voted in Scotland in the indy-ref 84% than in the GE, this is where the SNP will probably lose their objective again. But let them have it what harm can it be, democracy would win either way.

As soon as the future trading relationship is known for the UK I'd be happy for Scotland to have another vote.

Yes but if you add the 6% the Greens got and the 18% Labour got it can be done.

The last one only needed 135,000 swing for us to win. 76% of the 65 plus voted No. Plenty of them now keeping Phil company. The young team are overwhelmingly pro Indy so it could happen.

Ahhhhhh dissenting voices have now died argument rears its ugly head again.

Groundhog argument and a groundhog result again.

They can have one following the brexit deal just not now. Johnson should tell them this and put it to bed.
Indeed. Once a trade deal with the EU has been secured it would be a more accurate picture for Scottish citizens to know what kind of UK union they'd be remaining in.

If I were a Scottish citizen, told to vote in an independence referendum, only to learn a few months later that the UK had secured a trade deal with the EU, whilst the newly independent Scotland would have to negotiate all on it's own, i'd be pissed.
