Getting the train back from the Reebok to Chorley last week I got talking to a couple of great lads from Glasgow who come down every game to watch City home and lots of away games.

They said that the SPL is so bad that they much rather travel all that way every match-day rather than watching the pish available on their doorstep.

How lucky are we to be so close to all this great football.

City, Wigan, Bolton, Blackburn, Everton, Liverpool..................that's it!

When we lived in Edinburgh I used to watch Dunfermline when City weren't playing, or occasionally Hibs/Spartans/Edinburgh City.

Never saw it as a comparison though, just an excuse to watch football. Once you accept that its a different product, then it's fine to watch.

Would never slag off any other league's football though, even Finnish, they're all a hundred times more talented than I could ever hope to be.

I'm from the North of Scotland and the football available here is TERRIBLE.

You don't know how lucky you are to be able to go to City games every week.

I used to have a season ticket at Rangers before i moved here, I still follow it but it's not even football.

Last nights results show you how bad Scottish football is these days.

Shocking to say the least.

I love watching City, it's like the old days at Rangers when we had Gazza, Laudrup etc on a bigger scale.

Bet you weren't saying that when we were losing to York City...
