I remember looking at Follow Follow when Rohl was appointed. A lot on there seemed underwhelmed by his appointment, and wanted Gerrard brought back. It's still relatively early days, but it looks to have been an inspired choice by the board. Easy to say with hindsight, obviously. But imagine if they'd appointed him at the time instead of Martin?
They didn't know what we know. Did a fantastic job at Sheffield Wednesday. How he pulled of that great escape was nothing short of a miracle. They may have made one of their best ever appointments in him.
There is still a huge number that want Gerrard back. He doesn’t help hanging about like a bad smell with his cryptic social media messages. He had his time and failed to win a domestic cup, failed to get past a piss poor 10 man Malmo to get UCL groups, won one league out of three, blocked transfer of players costing the club tens of millions, failed dreadfully at Villa, failed in Saudi

They claim to hate us as much but I seriously doubt that. Tbh it’s the most one sided rivalry in British football. Vast majority of us don’t give them a second thought. I actually have a wee admiration for their travelling support who usually turn out in great numbers despite their nearest rival being 70ish miles away
