Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

I've seen some figures on this thread regarding the cost of the tins for season cards ranging from £5 to £15 and how that cost would pay for increases. Got to say I very much doubt it. I reckon the tins and its contents are made in China for for no more than 30p.
Yep. And I like my tins. Still not using most of them but they look cook stacked in my wardrobe

In short, because they can.

A longer answer would be to keep them competitive from a pricing perspective with competitors. An organisation cannot be seen to give its premium product away and we can’t do a £300 rise every 10 years in one hit so with an incremental rise, people will moan(with some justification I might add) but will probably still pay it

They can. And they do.

Regardless of the fans asking every season for at least a price freeze. Nothing more. Not a decrease. Not for a set period of time. Just a price freeze.

But one day, when Pep goes, and the team’s success and domination on the pitch starts to tail off, which will happen, let’s see how many City fans snap up these season tickets. Let’s see how many more empty seats start appearing around the Etihad. And let’s see how the board members and directors react then. Because there is only so far you can push a fan/person financially.

If the club added up all the fans who have dropped Cup schemes, dropped platinum, moved to cheaper seats, stopped eating and drinking as much inside the stadium on matchday, etc, due to the constant season ticket price rises, I think the club will find they are probably or definitely financially worse off.

But I haven’t got the data to prove that.

I don’t think a tin, a leather wallet, leaflets, and other trinkets, plus postage costs 30p.

Could you direct to that supplier in China please.

Hopefully we can rescue the slave labor workers.
Just have a look on Wish and see what you can buy for £1 delivered to your door too.
Or course it costs pennies to produce that stuff city send out.

I might Ebay all my tins. Perfect condition. That will pay for my season ticket price rise. :-)

Well I dropped Platinum a few years back so count me in. Not read the thread as I'm on holiday and can't be arsed. How much have they gone up by, anyone? PS. I'm in Valencia and about ten Liverpool fans just came in the Irish Bar and none of them are from Liverpool and one of them had the full home kit on and a bum bag! What a fuckin tool. Up the Blues

There’s one way to find out.

When my tin comes I’m going to look for ‘made in China’ on it.

Can anyone check their old tin if they have it and see where it was made. :-)

My tins are in the loft.

Thanks.

Average of 3%.

But increase varies across season tickets.

Mine went up by £20.

It’s absolutely bizarre that they keep increasing when you consider that ever increasing numbers will drop Platinum, leave the Cup Schemes and stop spending money in the ground or the club shop.

Just for passing people off the club must actually be worse off overall. It’s around £1m a year with all these increases, yet they must lose out a lot more than £1m a year with everyone dropping out or stopping spending in other areas.

It’s fucking stupid business sense!

Seriously.

I wonder if there is any Board member, or Director at City who is against these constant season ticket price rises?

Or do they all toe the final decision made by Khaldoon or Soriano, without questioning it?

Because for the life of me, I don’t understand, as these are educated, intelligent people, awash with supporter data, so they must know our core fan base, and they must know they are constantly stretching our fans financially every season, but they still keep on doing it. Why?
Because if you dont pay it, there is a queue of people ready to
