Just a time saving tip if you are renewing online. If you are paying by direct debit, when you get to inputting your bank sort code, click on the adjacent "look up" button to populate your bank details.
I didn't notice this until my umpteenth attempt and couldn't work out why the site wouldn't process my payment!

Just found the Gold ticket, if you go to New Tickets it lets you buy a new one. The only question I need I to enquire about is if it’s automatically renews the old gold card that’s gone up to £820 as I’ve not officially cancelled it.

That's all that happens upon VG renewal. Simply renew and then try to relocate to the SS3 for £385. Yes it's not £299, but I'm not certain VG will continue much longer and not renewing means you've lost your Seasoncard altogether! Tough choices I know.

Good tip took me about 5 mins to realise where I was going wrong

I want to pay off in one go but I also want to relocate to cheaper seats which it won't let me do now. Just gonna let it update manually as I'm currently on DD scheme and then relocate on 16th and see if I can pay it then

I’m sure you’ve good intentions but that’s bad advice. Not how Value ones work.

If you require the value gold then you have to buy New not renew.

Oh dear, please read what I said! If he renews he keeps his current seat but pays full price, he can then relocate to SS3 at £385 if money is the issue. I then went on to say, there may not be any further issues of VG so if he wishes to retain a Seasoncard then what I have suggested is his best economical option.

He could of course not renew and relocate as I've suggested, but then be without a Seasoncard and if there are no VG issued this season then he well and truly knackered.
