Not a fucking chance am I going to que for hours when I have already bought my ticket to be dealt with by someone who really doesn’t give a shit about customer serviceThere's an option to pick up from the ticket office before every game which costs ... let me check ... fuck all. Yes, it's a mither I agree, but the reasons for going to this new system is that the old one could be hacked - even the designers of it say it shouldn't be used and there will be no support for it in the future - and people like getting stuff for free or next to nowt, just look at all the IPTV threads. Businesses, for some reason, don't like having their goods or services stolen, I just can't think why. The fact is, the clubs would not be doing this if others hadn't tried to find a way to make money illegally out of it.
When we get the scarf I always place it at my uncles grave who was a massive blueI used to look forward to my gift pack :(
Lovely touch I’ll remember thatWhen we get the scarf I always place it at my uncles grave who was a massive blue
An older blue I know has had a season ticket since the 60s and pays for it by direct debit, which hes happy to do.
The problem he has is, he doesn't have Internet either at home or on his ancient mobile hence he doesn't have an email address.
His daughter explained this to somebody at the ticket office who assured her that for the Norwich game he will be able to use his old season ticket as they will add the game to it..
I said to him I can't imagine the ticket office sorting it that way and that it's going to be print at home tickets or using the app on nfc enabled phone.
Does anybody think the club will add games to the old season card has his daughter misunderstood what they said?
Remember my old feller removing the first scarf as it was ruined by the elements and we lost against the Rags the next matchLovely touch I’ll remember that
I thought that myself about the fobbing off but didn't know about pop up stand ( cheers will let him know on Sunday)I think somebody could've fobbed her off there you know, just to get rid of her. Advice would be to get down there early before Norwich. Apparently there's gonna be pop up stands outside to help those struggling. Could be a case of people proving who they are and a steward to just open the floodgates.
I'm trying to be positive about this, but the nervousness and stress on a lot of the older fans tells me this system doesn't bode well. The club should've consulted all season ticket holders for feedback before rolling this system out.

I was fuming and ever since then we place a scarf in a clear bag to protect it
My uncle is the reason we have won so much ;)
Pete gets the train from Milton Keynes , good post Paul.Emotionally they've got you as they have all of us. If you cancel they won't give a fuck, you'll just get some kid on the phone if you call in who probably doesn't even like football. One of the many on the waiting list will take your place, no impact on the club whatsoever, harsh but true.
The club could sometimes make more of the fans. Look at Pete the badge. He's known everywhere, a colourful eccentric character, travels from the London area to attend games and has for years. He often books B+B's and stays overnight. He's probably in his 70's. They could scrub him up a bit, promote him for good publicity, make him a mascot or something. They could reward him a bit, maybe put him up in a local hotel overnight, Free seasoncard, something, anything but they do nothing. They give players that have been here ten years a seasoncard for life but a fan who's been here 50+ years gets bugger all.

This was bound to have issues but it’s costing some people more to buy a phone suitable for the ticket download
How can this be right
All this will do is put people off getting a Season card
Screenshot the vaccination QR code, saves any internet issues....I assume they'll take it as legit especially if you've no signal.I thought that myself about the fobbing off but didn't know about pop up stand ( cheers will let him know on Sunday)
I've got the my ticket on phone but I'm still worried something will go wrong and will miss half the bloody game...
Bloody phone is temperamental and the Internet is intermittent so if I have to prove I'm double jabbed it could be a problem.

Cheers mate.. I know ticket works on nfc not Internet but didn't think of screenshotting NHS app thing.. Nice one..I don't think your ticket relies on an internet connection, it should be stored on the phone okay as it is.
A little tip for the NHS QR code is to screenshot that page at home before you go (even now, as it's valid for 30 days each time you download it). Then this will be stored in your photos rather than you needing internet or 4G to download on the NHS app when at the ground. Hope that makes sense.

Random trips ! Is your user name where you live. Trust me the 2 trips I mentioned are not random. And like I said you would not be forced to create a bank account. You can purchase prepaid cards.
You are the one that is bringing up this theory of the club ignoring non spenders. It is not a real thing. People also decide to spend their hard earned money on the club by the way so I don’t know why you are bringing up some random trips.
Yes, you're right that it will put people off, but it's something the clubs have decided they need to do due to the actions of touts, people wanting something for nothing like people who use IPTV instead of paying Sky and BT. I'm not judging people for doing these things, just saying this is the consequence, the businesses that lose income fighting back. The clubs were faced with having to upgrade their entry systems and this is what City decided to upgrade to.Not a fucking chance am I going to que for hours when I have already bought my ticket to be dealt with by someone who really doesn’t give a shit about customer service

I don't want to tempt fate, but you just don't know that you would have to queue for hours or that person doesn't give a shit about customer service. You're dismissing these solutions and making these assumptions to justify your resistance to change, but this is always happening, like bank closures happened, like cheques made way for cards, only this time it's something that really matters to us. It's a big change I agree, but you have to give it time to see how it works.
Oi! I resemble that remark! I'll bring butties and a flask in future if that's going to be the case.It would have been a better bet to weigh up the 'older' fan - the FOCs from CBL3 and EL3 - and have a few meat 'n potato pies 'n the Bovril laced with arsenic or strychnine!
