This popped up on my Facebook feed this morning - Seattle Sounders have launched a special kit in tribute to Jimmy Hendrix. Adidas have done a nice job with the purple and putting his signature on it.

Hendrix' original bass player (Noel Redding) came from my home town. Used to see him regularly out and about. Sadly no longer with us.

Noel moved to my hometown in Ireland back in the late 70's. Was a great friend of mine. Played at my wedding in '89. Played with him many times. Lovely fellow he was. As you say, sadly no longer with us.
