Now that Boateng is on his way to Bayern. Are we expecting an imminent move for a central defender....Coates in this case?

Or do you think that Savic was his replacment?

dont think we need to replace him, he hardly ever featured so dont think he will be missed

I'd normally agree with this, but with the Champions League etc coming up this season (which will have more importance than the Europa last season), I think we need to build a squad. If we get an injury, coupled with a suspenion or two then we're running a thin line. If he's priced right then go for it. We will need the squad.

BTW Toure is not available for the start of the season and from what I can see is not even allowed to train with us in America. He won't be of use 'til almost Christmas time at this rate. Boeteng may be gone so for me we only have 3 main CB choices Komps, Lescott and Savic (possibly Boyata too). That's not enough!

And Kolo will be at the African Championships in the new year. Doubt he'll start 10 games for us next season.

I think its a good thing that Kolo will be at the ACON as depending on how our defence is getting along without him, he probably won't be first choice when he returns from his suspension and the ACON will give him the chance to play regularly and get his fitness up to scratch.

Judging by the videos, he goes to ground an AWFUL lot. He needs to learn to think, and play a little more conservatively when on the ball. He seemed to hoof it a lot. Other than that, he looked class.

Of course, it's only an 8 minute video, I am probably wrong.

Don't really think he is necessary. Kompany, Kolo, Lescott, Savic, Boyata is adequate cover in my opinion.

It is is pronounced Ku.wa.tes. But ywa you are right, he does sound like an uppity :)

let me talk about Coates, he was the best player in 2010/2011 season in uruguay, and with 20 years he already had a under20 mundial, is second capitan of first team in Nacional, he has plaed copa libertador 2009 (semifinal) 2010 and 2011, and in several times he was named the best player of the match
