He has been a topic of conversation on other threads, however, for those who don't know much about our 18 yr old French midfielder, here's a decent introduction......

I am constantly getting him and Nitcham confused, one of them will have to leave, get a distinctive hair cut, or grow/shrink about 6 inches in height. Is Fofana the attacking mini Yaya or the defensive mini Yaya?

The attacking version, but don't let Spinzer hear you say that....;-)

haha lol, just dont like the Yaya comparison, i feel like people just think hey, he is a black physical midfielder, he must be the new yaya :P
He does strike a great ball once in a while. Ill definetly give you that. Did anybody say Pogba? :D
I have to admit though, i am not convinced by him, and i have my doubts, i sincerely believe he makes way to many errors, lacks to much in first touch and ball control compared to the other EDS players, but i do hope that he proves me wrong, lives up to the hype and becomes a great footballer for City.
Btw, maybe it should be noted that the strike from Fofana in the video was deflected off one of the Sunderland players.

Two goals against Sunderland, including a goal of the season contender (on MCFC youtube). He seems to be improving in leaps and bounds.

Yep,go find that clip because the one I put in my OP is a link to the price of fish.......

I've been singing his praises for some time now as I have witnessed some powerhouse performances from him,yes he has had a physical advantage over his peers, however, his raw ability has also stood out for me.
His main problem so far has been finding a level of consistency, however, he now seems to be rectifying that with some great recent perfomances.
I have compared him to Yaya as,although he is miles off that level yet,he potentially has the armoury to be something close imo.

19 in May,i would like to see him go on loan next year, and look at returning in anticipation of a first team breakthrough in 2015/16.

Different angle, looks like no deflection

Hmm, maybe not from the more overhead angle. Cracking strike regardless.

Around 1:47 BTW.

He was trying to cross the ball like Yaya vs. Sunderland ;)
