Seko Fofana

Good post! The French league tends to bring the best out of raw defensive midfielders. Lille might be packed in that position so we could probably send him to one of the lower teams like Guingamp .

I think a loan to Ligue 1 would be great for Fofana.

Then again West Brom could be a decent option.

I personally think the premier league may be a bit above him yet, give him at least a full season at somewhere like Marseille could be great for him as far as playing in and around a higher level club in france with decent players and less pressure would be better than a team fighting to stay in the league and depending on how it went he could either return or have a prem loan before returning to us as a home-grown 22 year old ready to replace either Fernando or Fernandinho.

Premier league is more than a bit above him.......he was on the bench at Fulham for at least a couple of games!....anyone who is going to be playing CL football (which is req for our side) needs to be standing out in the C/Ship...certainly once they turn 20.

An article on Sunderlandecho.com suggests they and several other teams (including other BPL teams like west brom) are trying to get him on loan next year. I think BPL would have to be optimal, but you can't really complain with teams like Marseille. This kid seems to be drawing a lot of attention, hopefully he can be a part of the solution to our issues in the midfield in the not to distant future.

Hopefully a loan to a french Ligue 1 side in the upcoming season and a BPL one for the 2016/17 campaign. He's not ready to BPL yet and he may get put on the bench for a long time if something goes wrong, even if it's not his fault. He still needs to match the BPL level to develope while playing in it, as if not, he'll struggle. France would be a perfect place for him to progress, even apart from being his homeland. THere's less pressure on the players, he can improve in many components of his game there and learn from good CMs who play in that league.

Sunderland are apparently interested.

I'm honestly not too sure how much gametime he'd get there.

I think Fofana just lacks the technical ability to play at the top level for us.

I think West Brom would be a good move for him, Marrseille would be too but with clubshop there the baggies will have a more safer season than usual and the way he manages would teach Seko and us alot about the consistency his game needs. It would be very much a sink or swim move but with whats coming through our youth setup thats going to have to be the case sometimes or players will start to look like they are standing still.
