It's always the case that very few players at all clubs, not just City, ever make the required grade and if we can move on four or five EDS graduates for £1m-£5m each summer, especially with sell-on clauses included in the deals, this would be good business and justify the academy's existence. Eventually we will develop a few of our own but these can only come from the best and that comes from not only the most talented and the fitest but also from those with the right mindset, and we won't know about this until we recruit them and work with them.

That's down to clubs not being good enough at scouting/coaching/promoting players & people protecting their own arses by spreading a load of shite about how 'impossible' it is, -thus keeping incompetent people in work. Every club should produce players. Even if they only have a shed.

If we are not full of shit, we will soon have academy players in the first team. The talent, facilities & coaching is there.

We have a queue of talent.

Looks a cracking fee considering he has pretty much run his course with us! Obviously a fare bit of interest for us to negotiate that.

Confirmed officially now. Udinese is a great move for him and it's at very least a strong example of how we can ensure players a career in the game.

And a relatively decent fee in my opinion, which in a way is another purpose of a well run academy. And yeah, Udinese is just traditionally a great place to befor youngsters, and I'm guessing they are planning to play him regularly.
