I fail to understand how this is legal, when city have threatened season card bans to people selling on gumtree and indeed this forum. They should invalidate any seats being listed on there. Perfectly easy, bands do it all the time

Wish I'd kept hold of your ticket now mate :-)Well I have 6 so might watch it on the telly!
I remember programmes being a tanner.
It is legal, as these ticketing companies are not based in the UK (Holland or wherever), they can freely buy/sell tickets on the internet. It is however against city's rules for tickets to swap hands like this, so you are right in the fact that its up to city to stop it. I've got a sneaky feeling it is city who is doing the selling tbh.It isnt legal. Some ticket agencies claim the addition as 'fees', 'commission' or use other terms in an attempt to legalise this practice. Of course its absolutely outrageous and it should be easy for the club to trace these hospitality tickets but will they? I was surprised at this being offered before the draw and before an official ticket sale has been made, but it shows that demand is going to be crazy for this match. Tourists are sacking the rags in droves because of the crap being played there, they know they are guaranteed goals at our place and some with the cash will pay whatever the going rate is. It can only get worse if City continue to do nothing about it.

In this country yes, read my postIt is illegal. Section 166 of the Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994 states it is an offence for any unauthorised person to tout, sell or dispose of a ticket for a designated football match.
As long as ANY part of the transaction is completed in England or Wales it is covered by Section 53 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. This includes internet sales.
Other legislation could be also be used as several new Acts have been passed since 1994.
I cannot believe without evidence to prove it that City are behind this, surely they would not get involved in anything like this.
