Semi-Final Tickets Being Advertised On Viagogo For £745.16 each!!!

I fail to understand how this is legal, when city have threatened season card bans to people selling on gumtree and indeed this forum. They should invalidate any seats being listed on there. Perfectly easy, bands do it all the time

It isnt legal. Some ticket agencies claim the addition as 'fees', 'commission' or use other terms in an attempt to legalise this practice. Of course its absolutely outrageous and it should be easy for the club to trace these hospitality tickets but will they? I was surprised at this being offered before the draw and before an official ticket sale has been made, but it shows that demand is going to be crazy for this match. Tourists are sacking the rags in droves because of the crap being played there, they know they are guaranteed goals at our place and some with the cash will pay whatever the going rate is. It can only get worse if City continue to do nothing about it.

I don't know why I wrote the 16p

Seriously how much for South stand level 3?

At that price I would be tempted to sell my ticket. Easily find another or just take my sons

Just like the Leicester ticket won't sell for that much, this one won't either. In fact the ticket probably doesn't even exist yet. Touts on those sites often sell the ticket first and then go about trying to source one for less.

If the row and seat number are listed (I bet they're not), then the club should absolutely be blocking that ticket, reselling it to someone else and banning the original owner from ever purchasing tickets again.

I've always thought that for the sake of a (relative) few quid, the club should randomly buy up tickets from these sites throughout the season and issue banning orders.

It is legal, as these ticketing companies are not based in the UK (Holland or wherever), they can freely buy/sell tickets on the internet. It is however against city's rules for tickets to swap hands like this, so you are right in the fact that its up to city to stop it. I've got a sneaky feeling it is city who is doing the selling tbh.

It is illegal. Section 166 of the Criminal Justice & Public Order Act 1994 states it is an offence for any unauthorised person to tout, sell or dispose of a ticket for a designated football match.

As long as ANY part of the transaction is completed in England or Wales it is covered by Section 53 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. This includes internet sales.

Other legislation could be also be used as several new Acts have been passed since 1994.

I cannot believe without evidence to prove it that City are behind this, surely they would not get involved in anything like this.

In this country yes, read my post

Meanwhile this is how LCFC responded to reports of tickets for their final home game being available for thousands of pounds on resale sites
- From BBC Sport:

Leicester City have handed a number of season-ticket holders "multi-year" bans for re-selling tickets illegally.
Tickets for the league leaders' final home game were offered for £15,000 a pair via an online re-sale website.
The 7 May match against Everton, which could see the Foxes crowned champions, sold out in 90 minutes on Monday.
"The club has a duty of care to its supporters and is working diligently to prevent ticket touting," a Leicester City club statement said.
"As a result, a small number of season-ticket holders and members have this week received multi-year bans."
The club said this prevents those responsible from attending Leicester games, as well as having their season tickets cancelled "without compensation".

So perhaps there is some thing we can learn from Leicester.

Block 221, 2 tickets Row M sold at £340 each plus fees. Block of 4 left on Row H at £390 (£463.18 inc fees) per ticket. Same in block 209 they must be mental but would be easy to track down.

Like said before the club should buy them, then cancel the transaction when the seats are known and ban them for ever....

Scummy company viagogo had to use them a Few times for tickets over the years it's a joke there worse then the touts the amount they charge and get away with it.

Still some tickets left in hospitality for this match. More than a normal ticket, but much cheaper than the touts are asking.
