Sergio Agüero | Manchester City's All Time Top Goalscorer

Just watched the compilation of all 178 goals. The striking thing about aguero is how technically blessed he is. The way he shifts his body to create half a yard of space, the way he can power shots home with hardly any backlift and some of the angles he's scored regularly from

A sublime footballer. His touch, his power - they brought him a lot of goals. Setting aside the 93:20, my favourite? I can't decide between two of them. First, the back heel from Nasri to Killer Kollers, a thunderous cross and he near hooks it back from behind him and into the net, and secondly, he's being chased by three defenders across the edge of the penalty area all intent on kicking him into the stand, but he hammers the ball into the top corner past some helpless bewhiskered Spanish goalie! Can't remember who the opposition were though!

Thank you Sergio. What a legend. We are so lucky to be around to see him play week in week out. Next milestone 200 goals.

I have just downloaded the video from the OS of ALL 178 goals. It has been organised bu the time of the game that he scored his goal so the last one is 93:20.
I'm going to make it into a DVD that I can play on the big screen TV any time

I was critical of him at times last season thinking he'd put a bit of timber on and wasn't showing the right attitue but my God how wrong I was. He's come back this season and he looks phenomenal, this could be his best one yet and there's been some good ones. Awesome achievement in such a short space of time and he will forever be known as one of our greatest. Top man, Sergio, congrats.

My only real concern last season wasn't his attitude but whether he could adapt to Pep's style of play. I think the jury was out on that in the first half of the season. In fact, prior to a home game early in the New Year (Burnley I think) myself and a few mates were discussing this over a few pints and we felt that the writing could be on the wall for him, but since he came back into the team after Jesus got injured at Bournemouth in February I'm happy to say he's put our doubts to bed and he's proved emphatically that he can play in this system.

Wasn't that the one where one of the central defenders has more than a passing resemblance to Beaker from the Muppets?

Edit: On reflection, they're ALL Muppets!

when you think that Yaya and Mario took a lot of penalties Kun could be well over 200 if he had taken them, that compilation on os is good I like the way its done in time rather than date so as to end with his most important goal of our history.

Really interesting to see the times all his goals were scored in the goal sequence on the OS - that they were able to do that and finish at 93:20 means he has never scored in extra time - not sure how often he has played in a match that went to extra time, but there have been a couple - perhaps he has run out of steam by then and and so is taken off for fresh legs to try and find a winner.

No doubt there is a proper analysis somewhere of when his goals are scored - but I got the impression that there were a lot early on in the second half - anyway everyone was a beauty and a good variety from poacher to outside box, from intricate dribble to powerful run, from meeting crosses to running on to a through ball - he must be horrible for a defender to try and contain.

That was another part of it. When Jesus came and Sané and Sterling started playing well alongside him we added a dimension to our game that looked difficult for Kun to be a part of. However, not only has he become a part of it but he's also the leader. He was sensational last night and that's the way he's been all season, fair fucks to the lad for having the desire to change and adapt to new surroundings at his age with all that he's already achieved.
