Aguero: "Now I have to watch what he [GJ] does, to learn a little. I am how I am. I have spent a lot of years in Europe playing this way."

I don't know if that quote has potentially been lost in translation or not, but if it's accurate that all but confirms he has been asked to do something different and explains the meeting on Deansgate.

I don't think, from Guardiolas perspective, that he's dynamic enough to play how Pep wants. I think he's asking him to do something that isn't his natural game and looking at that quote, I don't think Sergio sees why he should have to.

Of course it could be the context is different, I'd need to read the whole thing.

The link to the whole interview is a few pages back, seems he has been asked to do something different,he did it in the barca home game but i think he needs to do that every game, trouble is he a goal scorer who wants to be near the goal,he wants to stay so he'll do it,i would be fuming if pep sells him,i would hate pep for that

Posted this in the post match thread. Did anyone else realise during the pre-match warm up after doing stretches, the time that Aguero stood really still for a good 5 minutes doing nothing but stare at others doing passing and shooting practice? I thought that was bizarre. When it was tunnel time and everyone went in other than bravo he had two cracks on goal both of which were lobs yards off goal. Then he walked into the tunnel. I personally thought it was very bizarre. He didn't join the pass around, he didn't join the keepy uppies with the other subs.

Thanks Karen, I'll have a read of that.

I have to say, I believe there is a possibility that Pep currently has that train of thought.

There is currently a lot of euphoria around GJ, and I think a lot of it is hot air, but when we get down to the real bones of the thing I do think there is something happening here, or certainly has the legs to run that way.

What I would also say, is no player is bigger than the club and whilst the same applies for a manager I don't think it's a reason to hate Pep. Especially if he delivers what I believe he's going to, that being a whole host of trophies, the champions league being one.
