I didn't see the incident at the game on Sunday but reran it yesterday from the Sky recording. Whilst there is definitely no contact with Sergio's elbow, it did look like he caught Reid's throat with the side of his hand. Mariner it 2 to 3 yards away looking straight at the clash so it's impossible for him to say honestly he didn't see it. What will be will be I suppose. We will still have enough to beat the rags.

A point I haven't seen made is why did the ref think Reid had been subbed if he didn't see it ?

Maybe he thought it was what it was, a tactical substitution.

If he appeals and asks for a personal hearing (as camel gob did) will it take place after the Derby?

No. Rules changed so that appeals are always heard before the next game to stop things like that happening again.

Grow up. Just because someone has a different opinion than you doesn't make them any less of a blue. He looked at him and swung his elbow. It doesn't matter if he didn't connect, or if he was retaliating. The intent is clear and intent is all they need to charge him.



Clear intent and it was violent conduct. Plenty to see and unfortunately it will result in a ban.

The FA need to stop this retrospective action possibility, unless they are prepared to review every decision in every game in case the ref missed something, except if it's an exceptional incident ala Thatcher. Mariner clearly was watching play at the time along with the other three officials and didn't see anything that required action and that is where it should stop. Clearly Kun has been tried by media, agenda or not.

We will be fine without him. Hopefully vinny, sane and Gundogan will be playing this match and pep will have them well prepared.
