We`re a fickle lot us footie fans aint we ? I can guarantee had the perpetrator been Reid and Sergio the victim,Blue Moon would have already hung Reid by the plums.Sergio is not the first nor the last to be "identified via TV" as the aggressor in such incidents and we`ve seen time and time again where Dermott Gallagher on SS has given his opinion on such matters.
Only Sergio knows if it was an intentional incident but it don`t look good.
For all those claiming he never touched him,hardly touched him,blame it now on the ref,we seriously need to take our blue tainted specs off and realise that tv incidents will always be analysed and given the full treatment of judge and jury by said tv companies.
We aint the first and we wont be the last club.When things go against us we`re up in arms,when things go our way we`re delighted.

I agree with you. Forget the ref, forget bog brush, Sergio shouldn't have done that full stop. Speaking strictly for myself I don't want to see any of our players trying to injure a fellow professional. If he gets banned, we just need to suck it up. We still have enough to beat the Rags.

Aguero deserves a ban yes or no that's just an opinion, but blatant lies from the ref saying he never seen it,first thing the FA should do is ask WHY didn't you see it 'you was bloody looking at it' the phone calls have been made over the bank holiday and the stories are put together prior to the refs report being submited

No problem with aguero getting a ban, I always said after a game if a player did similar to aguero and ref didn't see it at the time and we don't benefit from it there and then I'm not arsed after the game because the team that will benefit from any retrospective ban wont be us!

De Jong was tried by television and he still walked.

On an aside, you connect a full elbow with a face and there's no telling what damage it can cause, just because it didn't result in a Gary Mabbutt style incident, doesn't grant leniency.

Too right. The classic was Clattenburg booking Adebayor for unsporting conduct when he ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Tarquins after he'd scored against them.

However that meant the FA couldn't then charge him for the same offence so after telling Mark Hughes one thing, he was made to alter his report to say he'd booked him for time-wasting. That meant the FA could then charge him for unsporting conduct.

Now I've not checked properly but I'm sure Adebayor got back in his own half a lot faster than Dzeko did after equalising in the QPR game.

I'm sad and did time it. I think play re-started less than a minute after the goal. IIRC refs are supposed to add a minute extra time on for each goal.

As much as I love Sergio, he's got away with this before (David Luiz at Wembley) but doubt we'll be as lucky this time around. He and us fans have to accept he's fucked up.

What I do want to see is some consistency with this type of incident, televised or not!
Also, it shouldn't stop at violent conduct. Diving bastards need to be punished retrospectively.

Technically, you would not be fined for speeding over 50mph on a section of the M60, last year, because they forgot to implement the actual camera legislation.

I consciously put my foot down as a result for the next few weeks.

There are numerous aspects of life where people do things, thinking they can't or won't get caught, and then a queue of people willing to argue various shades of grey, when they have been caught with their pants down.

It's a problem in society, always someone else's fault.

I think you garner more respect in this world by admitting you fucked up and if Sergio did that with Pep, then our manager will always have his back.

What is it with people bringing this up?

One significant incident in 5 seasons is jack shit.

Most players have about 2 or 3 of these a season!
