Sexual harassment?

Where I work, we had a woman cleaner who, without wishing to be politically incorrect, is a bit of a porker. We hadn't seen her for a few days and when we asked where she was, we were told she had left after someone made a sexually explicit comment to her and she intends to sue for sexual harassment. The company have addressed the cleaning situation by employing a slimmer, younger and prettier cleaner who walks around with her tits busting out from her top. We have been told we are not allowed to speak to her or be in a room alone with her (toilet, canteen etc ).
Now, as far as I know, there were no witnesses to the alleged comments but it looks like the company are going to pay the fatty some compensation. Surely, this is an admission of guilt and the lad accused is having his name tarnished without any evidence at all. I think she just found another job and decided to try her luck with the no win no fee charlatans.

The lad accused, "mate" of yours is he?

Women = Sexual haressment when they are not attracted to the guy.

Persistent charmer when they are attracted to him.

They dont need much evidence as they usually settle these cases before it goes too far. So if it was you, good luck.

We've got a pretty good idea who it is and it could ruin his relationship with his girlfriend if the company pay out. Or were the inverted comma's on the word mate a suggestion that it's me? I promise you pal, if you saw her, you'd see that nobody would made a sexually suggestive remark towards her.

It wasn't me. The lad we think she's accusing is only in his mid 20s with a nice girlfriend and a baby. He's a bit of a jack the lad but he wouldn't make suggestive comments to a big heffer like she is.

I've just quoted this on your facebook page mate as it's so funny i think everyone needs to see it.

Hope that's ok...

Well, there's no way you can believe an ugly, fat woman , is there?

That's basically what you're saying.

It begs the interesting question though - will the "no win no fee " charlatan be an ugly fat woman too? Or might that person be a Jack the lad, whom you seem quite happy to believe. Mmmmmm........(scratches chin.) You just can't beat a good generalisation, can you.

I'm just curious as I'm a "no win no fee" lawyer whom you or your family might need at some point in the future.

News for you mate - most "no win no fee" lawyers don't take on hopeless claims.

I'd beg to differ.....

It won't be a hopeless claim though will it? Rather than the company have it's good name tarnished in the local press and the legal cost of fighting the claim, I suspect they'll pay up and the people in your profession know this to be the case and are quite prepared to exploit it. The end result? She'll get some compo, the lawyer gets his slice, the lad probably loses his girlfriend and we all pay more insurance because the underwriters pass on their losses.
Do you want to try telling me that people in Bradford are 6 times worse at driving than the rest of the country? Because they have 6 times the national average of "whiplash" claims. It's purely and simply people on the make aided and abetted by ambulance chasing solicitors. The rest of society foots the bill for it.
