Shaikh Ahmad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan missing in plane crash!

Very very sad news. Hope the club do something to acknowledge it - I can only imagine it's going to be a very sombre week in Abu Dhabi...

RIP.

Shocking news, RIP Blue Brother. Oh the rags will have a field day now wont they.
If they're as slow as you were at noticing, I think it will be a slow burn!

This is very sad news, and my thouths go to the Al-Nahyan family that will feel the loss of one of their own. But let me put this in perspective. He´s the second brother to Sheikh Mansour to have died, there was an helikoptercrash over the persian gulf that killed another brother some years ago, rumours have it that it was shoot down by Iranian fire but no one knows for sure officially.

The late Sheikh Zayed (Emir of Abu Dhabi and our owners father) had 19 sons and all of them have a taste for adventure..Horseracing, racecars, speedboats etc so it doesn´t come as a surprise to many that an accident might happen.

Our owner himself race horses whenever he get an opportunity, and we talk long-distance races here that are very hard to finish. But he and his closest brothers (those with the same mother) are all alive and well.

Yours..

This is terrible news, especially for our owners immediate family. However, it doesn't affect us directly, to any real extent. Although the deceased person is the brother of our owner, he is not actually connected to the club.

Some people are suggesting that the club do something at the Birmingham match. I'm led to believe that the family are a very private group. Therefore a public show of condolence may be inappropriate. I'm sure certain people at the club have sent their condolences to the family.

I am in no way trying appear 'cold-hearted' here. But like many have said already, some perspective needs to be displayed here.
