He was a good striker (which i guess what we signed him for) but apart from scoring, all other aspects of the game escaped him.

Like i said i dont care and he is a hero to me and will live in my heart forever

No need to get at me blue he just was a Championship (Div 1 at the time) striker at best

I think that you're taking a narrow view of what makes a great footballer.
Technique is important, of course, and there were times when Shaun's could be criticised, but he had other qualities which many technically gifted players do not have. By this I mean the drive to give 100% every game, determination, and the guts to keep showing up and trying.
On a bad day, he could miss three sitters and then be on the spot to score from the fourth chance, because he had the guts never to hide.
This is why he is a hero to so many of us and it is why he could never, ever be classed as a 'shit footballer'
You are so wrong, and owe him an apology.

Bet the rags said he was shit before he banged three past 'em in a season, including the fastest sub goal in Premier League history at that point.

11th Commandment
Feedeth the Goat and he shall score.

How harsh are you? You don't score 100+ goals for a club by being a "shit" footballer. I don't care what division you are in. As has been said, you deserve the man an apology. I would hate to hear what you have to say about the rest of our team from that era.

What a man!

I love The Goat.

Probably my favourite ever City player.

The way he stuck at it and turned it around so markedly from a difficult start was brilliant.

FEED THE GOAT!
