He was a good striker (which i guess what we signed him for) but apart from scoring, all other aspects of the game escaped him.
Like i said i dont care and he is a hero to me and will live in my heart forever
No need to get at me blue he just was a Championship (Div 1 at the time) striker at best
I think that you're taking a narrow view of what makes a great footballer.
Technique is important, of course, and there were times when Shaun's could be criticised, but he had other qualities which many technically gifted players do not have. By this I mean the drive to give 100% every game, determination, and the guts to keep showing up and trying.
On a bad day, he could miss three sitters and then be on the spot to score from the fourth chance, because he had the guts never to hide.
This is why he is a hero to so many of us and it is why he could never, ever be classed as a 'shit footballer'
You are so wrong, and owe him an apology.
Apologise for having an opinion...
I dont think i will be doing that any time soon
As i said he is also a hero to me to, i loved the guy i have his name on the back of my Wembley 99 shirt.
Edit:
I shouldnt of said shit footballer that is unfair now i have read my comment again
