Got the worst first touch compare to other players in the squad.

For the short term you may well be happy with City playing Barry , De Jong and Vieria over Ireland but if this continues we may loose 1 of our best young players to have come out of the academy for a mix of a aging French man a out of sorts Barry and De Jong. Time will tell Ireland seems to love the club but if your not playing you soon get pissed off ala SWP with his contract but we cant afford to loose Ireland to 1 of our rivals in this league.

Ireland ahsn't been playing because his performances haven't been good enough. He was given a few opportunities in his favoured role and he didn't take them. We've a good squad and competition is fierce so when you get a chance you've got to take it

Thought it was pretty poor myself, created very little and didn't seem to cause much threat on the wing.

After last nights performance the request for a wage rise looks a little optimistic.

I hate to say it but I honestly believe he's past it. He just doesn't seem interested whatsoever. I get the impression he either doesn't have the confidence to run at people and just cant do it anymore. I know people will take the piss, but I'd try him at RB. He played there a couple of times early in his career and did a good job, as he's a superb tackler. Add to that, he'd do the job properly, i.e. not be stray up the park and not bother to track back or stray into the area thinking he's a centre back, ala Richards.

One decent cross but nothing else and he started the passing back sequence just before their second goal.

The 'passing back sequence' occured very often much to people's irritation in 236. But you have to have some initiative, one nil down, at home, needing the win and we were still pissing about with it, playing the ball slowly across the back line.

Not looked at all the posts on here but imo shaun's lost hal a yard of "PACE" which was his best assest, hence he now looks clumbsy and runs into dead ends etc.

Poor, was a bit disappointing that Johnson went off instead of him. I know that would have been a big deal, but I have a lot more confidence in Johnson at the moment.

Shaun was shite and has been abysmal since his prick of a dad mouthed off on the radio

Confidence is shot to shit now and his world cup hopes are dwindling rapidly. I find it hard to sympathise with him after the contract situation

Hate to say it but he was shit last night again, but so was Johnson and the rest of 'em tbh. He still has a place at this club though, especially when he finds his form again.
