34 is not past it for a top level keeper. He easily has 2-3 more seasons of top form left in him.

True. But hes made it clear if he is not the number one hes not willing to fight for his place and wants a move. If he puts in a transfer request what choice do we have ?
Rather he stayed and fought for his place it seems he nots willing to do that.
Hes had a few problems with injuries as well as we found out last season - which caused us problems. If he makes us choose between him and Hart its always going to be Hart. He proved on Saturday it is the right choice for the club.
