He’s a CB he hardly covers enough ground to need a rest. Keep the same back 4 as often as possible. One of the reasons our defence went to shit was Pep’s needless rotation.

There’s a balance to be struck, he’s played with so many different centre halves so far it’s clearly not a plan to get a settled partnership there but I think we can all recognise him and Laporte is the favoured duo. He’s played every minute of every game since he’s arrived, he will get a rest soon whether you think he needs one or not.

Is that true? I still remember a game (91 or 92 I think) being 3 nil up with 5 minutes to go and them scoring 2 late goals, we still won of course but it was the beginning of the end for Peter Reid. Funny how some games stick in the memory.

I reckon Mahrez is going to have an absolute stormer today. The one thing we know about him is that he's frustrating and inconsistent. He was awful last week therefore he'll be brilliant today. Simple this football lark!
