here's an idea........muslims ''distressed'' about nasty horrible cartoons and suggesting it justifies the actions of these murderers could actually try acknowledging the traditions and socially accepted practices of the countries that they live in instead of expecting the rest of us to deny ourselves the freedoms that we have always enjoyed just because a minority of people with a different tradition suddenly object

As gruesome as this sounds, and I'm pretty sure that you'll have seen examples in the reporting of the Israel/Palestine conflict, it's because nobody really gives a shit. They don't care that people have died, they care that people who are close to them geographically or ideologically have died.

The outrage felt for the attack in France is nowhere near the outrage for some of the crimes committed in Africa, despite the crimes in Africa being infinitely bloodier, infinitely crueler.

People are angry because they're scared. It's why when a guy in Afghanistan was set on fire and mutilated whilst alive for being a left wing reformer there was a one page thread about it but when something happens in a part of the world that has people like us so to speak, everybody goes off of their head.

We just need to face the facts that the world will never be war free. As long as the crazy twats keep conflict it their own countries, I wouldn't be worried. It's when they start coming over here and trying to cause havoc or recruit your own nationals to do their dirty work what gets me. What is need of it, none at all. Something needs to be done, maybe a coalition between all the countries agaisnt terroism and go in all guns blazing in all the places affected. Wishful thinking? Defintley so, but can we afford to keep watching them killing innocent people?
