Should financially rich clubs support struggling non-league?

I think all PL clubs should contribute to preservation of other clubs. However, that money should be 100% for ground improvements, promotions of that club's games, and community work. It should give that club a chance to generate sustainable revenue. Someone can surely oversee it. Maybe not UEFA or FIFA.

If a small football club is badly run like any other business they go bust.

Tesco or M&S don't help out market traders.

Gifting badly run football clubs would just encourage them to continue to lose money.

Don't overpay the player's and staff, and clubs shouldn't get into financial difficulty.

The issue i have with handouts is where does it stop? A club will think "wow we were 80K in the shit and got bailed out by the fund.... So we can go over budget again and go cap in hand to the fund at the end of the season"

Aye. And dodgy owners will pocket the cash and leave the clubs fucked anyway.

In theory yes but the reality is that if there was such a safety blanket more and more clubs would more than likely be ran into the ground by so called owners who wouldn't give a toss about the supporters.

Perhaps a some sort of plan to stop clubs spending more than they can afford, call it something like financial fair play.

Maybe, sometimes, richer, bigger clubs can help smaller clubs by buying a player or two from them...
