Should football and its clubs be an open market because it's now Big Business

This would stop FFP if clubs took the Premier League and UEFA to court to state they are being stopped from taking on United who are on the stock exchange and being Run as a Business, You can not stop fair trade and the right to run your club as a business,

Big Business or just a small business you have the right to run it in the way you like and even invite investment, Big Business can not stop them or make the rules up, The only thing they can do is buy out the little business and kill it off

Agree I don't understand why the multi billion organisations can't run their clubs as they see fit.

The Bigger Businesses would see it as a fair fight and good for the general consumers, It's life ?
Some people have more money and want to invest it in a good project to take on the Big boys, So what's wrong in football clubs doing the same,

Let's be Fair here to our owners, They bought in at the bottom and invested in a project and it paid off big time,
There is Nothing wrong with that Because that investment was not used for a gamble on the future of Manchester City and its assets,

It's Just Like the Dragons Den, All the ideas being sold to the Guess judges are investments into a business with no guarantees,

Football and the Premier League invited Investment into one of their clubs, So how can you say to them ? Sorry but you can not dream and take on the big boys and become the best club

I’m a million miles away from a legal expert but I would guess that if you’re running a private sporting competition then you can enforce pretty much any rules you like and if clubs want to enter that competition, they by default agree to abide by those rules.

Every sport I can think of has some kind of financial restrictions on what teams can spend.

Not a defence of FFP. Just highly doubt it is illegal.

Especially given the clubs all agree to the rules before they’re allowed to compete, and the rules are voted on via SuperMajority.

It was an open market until we were sold to Abu Dhabi.

Don’t understand how little City could have caused all this frantic activity to make things fairer?

As far as I am aware we are debt free, unlike another club just outside Manchester.
