Can we have a poll for this question?

The offside law in it’s current format is not fit for purpose

Offside should not be subjective and open for manipulation by match officials

Disallowed goals by mm and no longer advantage to attacker?

Offside rule has been changed so many times that most people including officials and players down t understand as it is subjective and open to misinterpretation.

Many games turn into defence vs attack, so it wouldn’t impact most matches.

Offside if ahead of the second-last opponent and an offence if the player has gained an advantage by being offside.

Simple really. Scrap all the changes to the law trying to define completely all this active/not active bollocks. It's all applied subjectively anyway.

It can’t be scrapped though can it, or you’d just end up with players stood in the six yard box goal hanging the whole game like at school. Scores would end up about 14-12.
So many games end up with defence sitting in so can’t see why not, if you keep a player up you have one less player to defend. This offside by a mm or when the officials want is not acceptable. I’m all for positive change as offside as it is isn’t working and is being used to manage results

Instead of being offside because your toenail is offside, what if you are onside provided part of your body you can score with is onside. Still would need a decision as to whether a player was onside but there would be much less disappointment with disallowed goals.
