Should tactical fouls become a red card offence?

Jorginho had one too and was described by commentators as "taking one for the team."

Watched 5 games over the weekend and the same type of foul was committed in each game. Some of these are happening so far up the park as to be closer to the attacking team’s box than that of the defending team, but they are all done with the intention of stopping a counter.

Punishment should fit the crime. A minor foul 60 yards away from the goal doesn’t merit a red card, even if it is cynical and designed to break up play.

Maybe too it will encourage people to ride tackles a bit more which, frankly, would improve modern football by about a million percent

Tactical fouls are nowhere near as bad as fouls where the opponent comes sliding in, nowhere near the ball and takes the man out. Thats why West Ham had 2 players booked before us.

People highlights our fouls because they're looking for a weakness to exploit, trying to put pressure on referees. If it wasn't 'tactical fouling' it would be something else, this will go on and on until eventually we don't win the league.

Mcmannaman, can describe a foul as a professional , clever one , in one sentence, then a minute later describe it as a cynical tactical foul. The eye of the beholder.

He can also say 'what you want to do with that Messi is get close to him and break one of his legs' then 2 minutes later be outraged when a strong gust of wind blows Salad to the floor in an unnatural manner. The man is a prat

When Skrtl was at Liverpool and in a replay he was shown to be taking his studs down a forwards leg the comment was always " the dark arts of defending "

Wasn’t it Skrtl that did that Kung fu kick on one of our players? I think it was Zab but I’m not sure.
Dirty nasty fucker he was.

Is there something that's worse than a red card? Like a card that results in your team losing the game on the spot?

That should be the punishment for every City tactical foul. Plus United should get a bonus 3 points.

They still wouldn't win the league
